Gaye Lynn Wilson has served as Vice President of National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) since 2009. In this role, Wilson manages league sponsorships, sponsor and supplier fulfillment and licensing. She also oversees management of the League’s Championship Series and College Draft, - two independent events for NPF that have evolved exponentially since 2009.
She has taken the lead in the development of the digital media and social media platforms, website, NPF phone app as well as the coordination of the NPF internship program. During the 2010 and 2011 seasons, Wilson also managed logistics for the league-operated Tennessee Diamonds team. In 2010 even Wilson coached the NPF Back to School Tour team, a collection of All-Stars from all four NPF teams, which played exhibition games against university programs across the country.
Prior to joining NPF, Wilson served nine years as instructor and business manager for Club K, the nation’s largest women’s fastpitch softball training facility. Wilson spent 10 years coaching college softball, first at Daytona Beach Community College and then at the University of Florida, where she was brought in to help launch the softball program in Gainesville.
As a coach, Wilson received the NFCA South Region Coach of the Year Award and FCCAA Region Coach of the Year Award. She also helped lead Florida to an SEC Championship and two NCAA Tournament Appearances. Wilson has coached many top-notch players who received awards such as All Conference, NFCA Academic All America and NFCA All America.
Wilson is actively involved in the Mount Juliet, Tennessee community and currently serves on the Mount Juliet Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Co-Chairs the Mount Juliet Sports and Fitness Council, and was voted the 2014 Volunteer of the Year Award Mount Juliet Chamber. Wilson received a M.Ed. in Counselor Education from the University of Central Florida, a B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Florida, an A.A. degree from Lake City Community College and a Mini MBA from Belmont University.
