Nashville, TN - The National Pro Fastpitch League Office released the 2013 regular season schedule today. The four affiliate teams of the Akron Racers, Chicago Bandits, NY/NJ Comets, and USSSA Pride will battle each other through 96 total regular season. Each team will play every other team a total of 16 games - 2 Home series’ and 2 Away series’.  Akron and USSSA will both host a total of 7 home series’, Chicago will host 6, and NY/NJ will host 4.

The regular season will open on June 5 when Akron travels to Chicago for a 4 game series. A day later, all four teams will be in action as the series of NY/NJ Comets at USSSA kicks off. This will be inaugural action for the NY/NJ Comets as they enter into their first year of competition in the NPF.

A season ago, the USSSA Pride dominated regular season action with a 31-12 record to take home the Ringor Cup regular season title. The Chicago Bandits finished second overall in 2012 at 25-19, and the Carolina Diamonds brought home a third place overall finish at 17-26. Akron will be looking to recover from a 14-30 record and fourth place finish of a year ago.

The NPF celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2013 as the four affiliate teams will square off in more than 13 different venues. The 2013 action will culminate with the NPF Championship Series to be held in August at the Ballpark at Rosemont in Rosemont, IL.
