- Akron Racers GM, Joey Arrietta, announced the signing of one of the leagues all-time best defensive players, Kelley Montalvo, for the 2014 season. This will be her fifth season in a Racers uniform.

“Kelley Montalvo exemplifies the spirit and passion our organization has for the professional game,” noted Joey Arrietta. “Her defensive skills are beyond words. She absolutely amazes me every night.”

“The 2014 season, will provide a fresh outlook for the Racers,” remarked Montalvo. “We have strong leadership in our veterans that will lead us in the right direction. We also have confidence in Joey to select and mold our team into a real contender in this league.”

“I am so thankful and blessed to be given another opportunity to wear the Racers uniform and play the sport I love again this summer.”
