Akron, OH - Janurary 31, 2014
- Akron Racers GM, Joey Arrietta announced today that All-NPF selection Charlotte Morgan will head back to Akron for the 2014 season. Morgan, who was signed as a free agent prior to the start of the 2013 season, became an integral part of the Racers program upon her arrival.

“Charlotte’s work ethic and commitment to our organization was a true blessing,” remarked Arrietta. “It’s sometimes difficult to determine how a player might affect an established group of players but there is no question that when Charlotte arrived I knew our program had found not only a solid, talented player but a very special person.”

Morgan enjoyed the best season of her career in 2013 after being named the top pick in the 2010 NPF Senior Draft by the USSSA Pride. Morgan’s .302 average ranked eight among all NPF hitters including seven homeruns (2nd overall) and 31 RBI (4th overall). Her .425 on-base-average was the 4th best in the league and her .508 slugging percentage placed her 5th in the NPF in 2013.

“I am very excited to be able to put the Akron Racer uniform on one more time,” explains Morgan. ” I am very blessed to have the opportunity to play with the Racers and be a part of such a wonderful organization.”
