Bandits part ways with Waits, Mitchell

ELGIN, Ill. – Chicago Bandits GM Aaron Moore announced today that the Bandits have released the following players to free-agency - infielder Amberly Waits and outfielder Rachel Mitchell.

Waits, 22, was selected by the Bandits in the second round of the 2010 NPF Senior Draft out of Louisiana Tech. In her rookie season she batted 4-for-28 (.143) with 10 runs scored.

Selected in the fourth round of the 2010 NPF Senior Draft, out of Louisiana State University, Mitchell spent time in right field and was a frequent pinch runner for the Bandits. In her rookie season, Mitchell batted 8-for-51 (.157), with a .271 on base percentage.
