2014 NPF Schedule

Nashville, TN – January 23, 2014
- National Pro Fastpitch released the 2014 regular season schedule today. The four affiliate teams - Akron Racers, Chicago Bandits, Pennsylvania Rebellion, and USSSA Florida Pride - will battle each other through 96 total regular season games. Each team will host 24 home games while playing an equal amount of 24 games away. Each team will play every other NPF team a total of 16 times throughout regular season competition.

The regular season will open one week earlier in 2014 on May 29 with Akron hosting Chicago at Firestone Stadium in Akron. One day later on May 30, USSSA will welcome the Pennsylvania Rebellion to their home opener hosted in Salisbury, Maryland. Throughout the regular season, NPF teams will compete at nine separate venues in six different states.

The Chicago Bandits  will look to defend the regular season title they took home to Rosemont in 2013 with a record of 36-12. USSSA finished a close second in 2013 with a record of 34-14 before capturing the Cowles Cup at the Championship Series. Akron is coming off a third place finish and a record of 16-32 in 2013, while the Pennsylvania Rebellion enter their inaugural season of competition in the NPF.

The season will culminate with the Championship Series, which will make its home in Hoover, Alabama for the first time August 20 through August 23. The league expects to announce television broadcast dates in the near future.
