Game Box Score

Allentown, Pennsylvania - The Philadelphia Force (12-23) of National Pro Fastpitch won their third straight game, powered by shortstop Chelsea
Spencer's two run homerun in the bottom of the first inning, as the home team defeated the Arizona Heat (17-26) in front of 1,800 fans at Bicentennial Park in Allentown, PA on Friday evening. Jodie Cox earned the win in the circle, holding Arizona to only two hits as she improves to 2-5 on the season. Celena Velasquez took the loss for the Heat, dropping to 1-6 on the season.

The Force scored in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back. Center fielder Sarah Fekete (2-for-3) led off with a single up the middle before Spencer (2-for-3) followed with a towering home run over the left field fence, putting the Force ahead of the Heat 2-0. The home run marked Spencer's second of the season and her second in as many games.

The Force played stellar defense behind Cox, including three great plays in the top of the third inning. Ryan Realmuto halted Crystal Farley's steal attempt and Jenna Hall split in half for a putout before Spencer made a great defensive play on the run at shortstop to end the inning.

Crystal Farley and Jackie Coburn had the lone hits for the Heat.

The Force are set to take on the Heat in the fourth and final game of the series on Saturday, August 12th at ECTB Stadium at Bicentennial Park. First pitch is set for 7:05 PM.
