DENVER, Colo. – Televised coverage of National Pro Fastpitch will begin this Sunday, when the NY/NJ Juggernaut hosts the California Sunbirds at Montclair State University at 7:35 pm EDT. Sunday’s game will be the first of four games to be aired on the YES Network this season for the Juggernaut.

The YES Network is a 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week premier sports and entertainment television network featuring the 26-time World Champion New York Yankees Major League Baseball team and the Eastern Conference Champion New Jersey Nets. The YES Network is available on regular cable to viewers in New York, Connecticut, and large parts of New England and Pennsylvania. The network is also available nationwide on select satellite and dish providers. In addition to 139 Yankees games and 75 Nets games, YES broadcasts other professional and collegiate sports teams as well as classic sports footage. The YES schedule also includes original biography, interview and magazine programs.

Other air dates for Juggernaut games on the YES Network are June 20 against the New England Riptide, July 11 versus the Arizona Heat and finally August 8 when they host the Texas Thunder.

Two other games are currently scheduled to be aired on the ESPN Networks this summer. ESPN will broadcast each of the two games, played July 13 in Oklahoma City, against the US National Team. Game one will air on Sunday, July 25 at 1 pm EDT and the second game will air on August 1, also at 1pm EDT. The appropriate channel has not been determined, please check local listings for exact time and channel.

NPF, the world’s premier professional fastpitch softball league for women, consists of six teams located throughout the United States and features former USA Softball Women’s National Team members, collegiate All-Americans and all-conference selections. NPF’s 60-game regular-season schedule began on Tuesday, June 1 and concludes Wednesday, Aug. 18. The 2004 season features the inaugural NPF All-Star Game, the first-ever NPF Championship Semifinal and the first NPF Championship Series.

National Pro Fastpitch is headquartered in Denver, and has been in operation since 1997 under the names Women’s Pro Fastpitch (WPF) and Women’s Professional Softball League (WPSL).
