The Chicago Bandits and Benedictine University will host the 2005 National Pro Fastpitch All-Star Game and Playoffs on Saturday, August 27th and Sunday, 28th.

The Chicago Bandits and Benedictine University will host the 2005 National Pro Fastpitch All-Star Game and Playoffs on Saturday August 27th and Sunday 28th.

Representatives from each of the league’s six teams will get together to open up the post-season on August 27th at 6:00 PM with the NPF’s East vs. West All-Star Game. Players from the New York Juggernaut, New England Riptide, and Akron Racers will form the East squad and all-stars from the Chicago Bandits, Texas Thunder, and Arizona Heat will make up the West club.

The top four teams in the final NPF Standings will be invited to play in the league’s post season single-elimination tournament. The opening round will pit the No. 1 overall seed against the fourth seed at 9:00 PM on Saturday after the All-Star Game.

The second first-round game will see the second and third seeds take to the field at 12:00 PM on Sunday, with the winners of both opening round games meeting to decide the 2005 NPF Championship at 3:00 PM on Sunday August 28th.

The incredible Frisbee Dogs will be performing their stunts in between games on both Saturday and Sunday.

ESPN2 will televise the NPF All-Star Game tape delayed on August 28th at 5:00 pm eastern time and the Championship Game at 7:00 pm est on the same day. Comcast Sports Net-Chicago will televise the Bandits' first-round game.

Tickets for the weekend are available now at the Bandits' box office and by calling the Banditline, 1-877-7BANDIT.

Fans can purchase single day tickets that will get them into both games on either day, or they can purchase weekend passes for entrance into all four games.

The single-day passes will be $18 for box seats and $14 for reserved grandstands, and weekend passes will be $30 for box seats and $20 for reserved grandstands.

The first 300 children ages 12 and under in attendance each day will receive a free Jennie Finch bobblehead doll and the first 1000 children will also receive Official NPF Autograph Cards. Jennie Finch Autographed USA Cards will be randomly given out throughout the weekend.

Currently the Chicago Bandits sit in first place in the NPF standings, with the New York Juggernaut and Akron Racers trailing close behind.
