BANDITS WIN IN EXTRA INNINGS

Allentown, Pennsylvania - Chicago Bandits (29-9) stole game three against the Philadelphia Force (13-25) after ten innings. Jodie Cox took the loss on the night bring her record to 2-6. Jessica Sallinger was the winning pitcher for the Bandits to boost her record to 7-4. The Bandits won in the
tenth inning after the international tie breaker was put into affect by executing a bunt followed by a ground ball to the opposite side of the field, scoring the winning run. Ryan Realmuto and Lindsey Cameron were both 2-for-4 on the night leading the Force offensively.

The Bandits scored two runs in the third inning after Jaime Clark singled, Trena Peel sacrifice bunted but was safe on a Force error, followed by Stacie May who singled to load the bases. Trimboli popped out to second base for a Force out. Mackenzie Vandergeest hit an RBI single to left field scoring Clark and Lindsey Cameron caught Peel out at third. With two outs, Amanda Williams hit an RBI single to left field scoring May. Selena Collins hit a ground ball to third baseman Emily Friedman who made the last out on a fielder's choice play to end the rally with the Bandits leading the Force 2-0.

With one out in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Force made a come back when Ryan Realmuto hit a single up the middle and then stole second base. Lindsey Cameron hit a deep ball to center field for an RBI double to score Realmuto.

The Force made their second comeback of the ball game in the bottom of the sixth inning when Jenna Hall hit a ball deep that bounced over the fence for a ground rule double. Friedman came in to pinch run for Hall and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Ryan Realmuto came to the plate and after an 11 pitch battle roped a ball out of the park for a two run home run, her second of the season, giving the Force the lead 3-2.

Jaime Clark tied the game up 3-3 in the top of the seventh inning with a hard hit ball over the left field fence for a homerun.

In the tenth inning Chicago started with Nicole Trimboli on second base due to the international tie breaker rule. Trimboli moved to third base on a sacrifice bunt and Amanda Williams hit a ground out but still got the RBI to put the Bandits ahead 4-3.

In the bottom of the tenth inning the Force slapper Fekete attempted to advance Cox who started on second base. Fekete bunted to third baseman Gina Oaks who executed the play on Cox who was advancing to third base. With Fekete on first Leto hit a ball to the short stop who got the lead runner at second base. With two outs Spencer went down swinging and the Force took the loss 4-3.

The two teams will play the final game of the series, Tuesday August 15th at 7:05 PM in Allentown, PA.
