DENVER - Schutt® Sports, one of the last family-owned sporting goods companies in the United States, has agreed to enter its seventh year of partnership with National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) in the category of protective equipment.

“We are very excited to have Schutt Sports on-board with us for the seventh year,” said Richard A. Levine, President/CEO of National Pro Fastpitch. “They have been a part of the league since its inception, and we look forward to their continued support under our new name and ownership structure.”

“It is a thrill to once again be a part of National Pro Fastpitch,” said Larry Brushett, Softball Product and Brand Manager for Schutt. “Our relationship continues to validate that Schutt product is used at the highest levels of competition.”

Schutt will be the official supplier of all batting helmets, catcher’s gear and bases for NPF through the 2005 season. Schutt will also supply the league with training aids and umpire accessories.

As an official licensee, Schutt will produce replica helmets, bases and home plates featuring the logo of each NPF team. Licensed product will be available at team stadiums and various retail locations.

Schutt Sports, known as “The Gear That Makes The Game,” is located in Litchfield, Ill., with the helmet manufacturing facilities in Salem, Ill. Schutt produces a full line of football, baseball, softball, and basketball equipment, as well as authentic collectible products.
